The Hong Kong Tigers roster is comprised of players from the various regular season teams that play at Hong Kong’s only international sized rink, the Mega Ice hockey facility, managed by Rink Management Group . Coming from all four corners of the world, including Canada, Hong Kong, Switzerland and USA, the players share in the team’s goal of bringing the spirit of sportsmanship and competition to ice hockey in Hong Kong.
The Tigers are proud to continue to build on Hong Kong’s long time ice hockey tradition that was officially established by the Hong Kong Ice Hockey Association in 1980. Hong Kong joined the International Ice Hockey Federation in 1983 and after tying Taiwan in its first game international tournament in 1987, it went on to win the Fair Play Cup at the world tournament. Through the participation of youths and adults and at all levels, the sport of hockey will continue to growing in the Pacific Rim.
